Rob Owens – Camp Director

Throughout what is now approaching decades of experience working at camps all over Ontario, the importance of connecting and reconnecting campers to exploring, to friends, and to the outdoors has never been as critically important as it is right now.

Bringing summer camp back to Mansfield Outdoor Centre is an exciting endeavour for me. Although I have a thorough insight in the behind the scenes workings of Camp Mansfield in my previous years, the role of Camp Director will be a welcomed new perspective.

I feel that being outdoors in the natural world provides a chance to imagine, to reflect, and to recognize that we’re all a part of something bigger. It’s about making connections with fresh air, with plants, with animals, with other people, and internalizing that harmony to make ourselves better.

Being able to provide safe, fun, and engaging outlets for campers to make connections with the outdoors and with each other is what will continue to make Camp Mansfield such a special place.
